Melina Cortesi is a visual artist based in Athens, Greece. At 18, she began her studies in photography at the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts at the University of West Attica. Though born in the capital, her work is deeply influenced by her family roots in the mountainous region of western Peloponnese. Her visual language is shaped by a strong connection to nature, reflections on childhood innocence, moments of self-discovery, and the quiet details of everyday life. Her images are often touched by the dreamlike atmosphere of an inner, imaginary world—one that exists somewhere between memory and emotion.
